Privacy Policy

This policy explains how The Chiro Studio ("we", "us", "our"), the clinic of chiropractor Andrew Ullo at 47 Arnold St, Charlestown NSW 2290, collects, uses, stores and shares your personal information. We handle your information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What information we collect

When you book or visit, we may collect:

• your name, date of birth, address, phone number and email address;
• health information, such as your symptoms, medical history, assessment findings, care plans and notes from your visits;
• appointment details and payment details (card numbers are handled by our payment provider, not stored by us);
• information you send us when you call, email or message the clinic.

How we collect it

We collect most information directly from you, in person, by phone or through our online booking form. With your consent we may also receive information from another health practitioner you have seen.

Why we collect and use it

• to assess you, provide chiropractic care and keep accurate health records;
• to book appointments, send reminders and follow up on your care;
• to process payments and meet legal and insurance requirements;
• to improve our website and services.

Online booking and health records

We use Cliniko, a third-party practice management system, to manage online bookings and patient records. Your information is stored by Cliniko on our behalf under its own security and privacy terms. You can read more at cliniko.com/privacy.

Our website, cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar tools to understand how people use the site and to improve it. These include Google Tag Manager and related Google measurement tools, and Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors interact with pages (for example clicks and scrolling). We do not use these tools to collect your health information. Our contact section also shows a Google Map, which may set its own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Who we share it with

We only share your personal information when needed to care for you or when the law requires it. This can include other health practitioners you ask us to refer you to, our service providers (such as Cliniko and our payment provider), insurers or regulators where required, and anyone else you have agreed to. We do not sell your information.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep health records for as long as the law requires, and then securely destroy or de-identify them.

Access and correction

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting the clinic. We will respond within a reasonable time. In some cases the law allows us to refuse access, and if we do we will explain why.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page.
